Configuring Destinations in SAP Web IDE

Hello folks! In this tutorial, I will help you to configure destinations in Sap Web IDE. In normal scenario, we require a odata service which we have to integrate with the frontend, to display the data on the UI. Similarly, here we will use northwind service as an example for setting the destination in Sap Web IDE.
First Step is to login to your SAP hana cockpit account , if you don’t have an account, register yourself for a free trial account.
Now, click on the destination bar on the left side of the screen, and create a new destination.

Now, a form will pop up, and you will be required to fill in all the information. Use these information
Parameter
Value
Name
northwind
Type
HTTP
Description
Northwind OData Service
URL
Proxy Type
Internet
Authentication
NoAuthentication
WebIDEEnabled
TRUE
WebIDESystem

Provide Cloud Connector version as 2 if asked.

Please make sure, you have entered the details correctly and do mention additional properties too. At this stage you have done your bit, the destination is set. You will be able to this screen, northwind service has been added to your destination.

Now to check if your service is working correctly, click on the star like button, ie the check connection button. It should show a message that your connection is successful.
Congratulations!! You have setup your destination correctly and with success.
