Implementing SAP Fiori

In this particular blog, here I have mentioned the steps for implementing sap fiori. For implementing Fiori, you would need to install front end components and he Gateway services to make a connection to the back end possible. It would be recommended to separate the business logic and the back-end data from the UI layer, since if any UI changes are to be made, then it wouldn’t affect the backend and no development authorizations are to be made.

And before installing these components, do check your existing components in the GUI. Do this by going to SAP LOGON>system>Status>Components. Here you would find all the existing installed components, be it front end components or backend components.

If you want to implements fiori for analytical apps, then you would also need to add HANA components in your SAP System. All these components are delivered as separate products; hence they need to be installed separately.

So, now let us take a look at the steps for implementing fiori:
1) Checking Prerequisites
2) Install required SAP Netweaver Gateway components (FE)
3) Install central UI Add-ons(FE)
4) Install product specific UI add-ons(FE)
5) Check and install all relevant SAP Notes
6) Configure SAP Netweaver Gateway(FE)
7) Configure central UI Add-on(FE)
8) Configure product specific UI add-ons(FE)
9) Configure Back End

Checking Prerequisites
Check the following prerequisites:
1) Netweaver Gateway NW 7.31 SPS04 or higher
2) Netweaver Central UI Add-on NW 7.31 SPS04
3) Business suite UI Add-on
4) Back-End Business suite Server NW 7.4 SPS04

NOTE: If you install Netweaver Gateway 7.31 SPS04, then you also need to install several other components additionally, but if you install Netweaver Gateway 7.4 SPS04 then you don’t need to install other components separately, as they are already installed.

Download SAP Fiori
For downloading SAP Fiori, you must have an authorized account in SAP service market place.
2) Click on Installations and upgrade
3) Click on Software downloads
4) Download SAP Netweaver Gateway 2.0
5) Click on Installation and Upgrades.

Installing SAP Fiori
Now, once you have downloaded the SAPNetweaver Gateway, now you have to install Central UI Add-on and SAP Fiori Launchpad.
Netweaver Gateway Version - EHP3 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 (AS ABAP) (SPS 04 as minimum)
Central UI Add-on - UI ADD-ON 1.0 FOR NW 7.03 (SPS 06 as minimum)
Components - SAP UI ADD-ON INFRA V1.0, SAP UI2 SERVICES V1.0, SAP UI5 CLIENT, RT AS ABAP 1.00, SAP IW BEP 200, SAP UI2 FOUNDATION V1.0, SAP UI2 IMPL. FOR NW 7.31 V1.0

For Netweaver Gateway version 7.4 – All required components are included in the SAP NetWeaver 7.4 installation.

Now, according to your business suite, install product specific UI Add-ons
1) ERP: UI for EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0
2) SRM: UI for EHP3 for SAP SRM 7.0
3) CRM: UI for EHP3 for SAP CRM 7.0

Now, once all these components are installed, now you need to check if all the frontend and backend components are added.
For that follow the steps mentioned at the beginning. Do this by going to SAP LOGON>system>Status>Components

All these SRA components are for particular apps such as create sales order, track sales order etc.
This was just basic information relating to SAP fiori implementation. Hope you find it informative.
